It is a 10-digit unique identification number, issued by the Income Tax Department of India. Follow the steps below to check your PAN Card details on Income Tax Website

Step 1: Log in to your account on the e-Filing website.

Step 2: Select “Profile Settings”

Step 3: Select “My profile”.

The following details will be displayed under “PAN details”:

  • PAN Number
  • Name of Assessee
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Status
  • Address of Assessee

  • Your Status (Choose the Status from the list of: Individual, Hindu Undivided Family, Association of Persons, Body of Individuals, Company, Government, Artificial Juridical Person, Local Authority, Firm or Trust)

Step 4:Enter the Captcha Code displayed on a screen

Can PAN Card Be Made Online?

Yes. PAN can be made online through the following steps:

  • Visiting the official PAN – NSDL/UTIITSL website
  • Fill the form 49A or 49AA for (Indian/Foreigner) with your details
  • Submit the required documents
  • Pay the processing fee
  • PAN will be dispatched within 15 days

  • The form must be filled using capital letters only
  • All fields are mandatory
  • Mobile number is compulsory to receive any update

  • Step 2: The next step is to go to the PAN section on the website. You can track the status of the PAN application on this page.
  • Step 3: The applicant will need to choose the type of application that they are filling in.
  • Step 4: Next, they will need to provide a few details along with their 15-digit/9-digit acknowledgment number or PAN Number.
  • Step 5: Enter the Image Code (Captcha Code).
  • Step 6: After filling all the information, they will be directed to a page that will provide them with the current status of their PAN application.

What is the Cost of Making a PAN? 

The cost of a PAN card is Rs.110 or Rs.1,020 (approximately) if the PAN card is to be dispatched outside India.
